Well Equipped Machine Shop

Our machine shop is well equipped to manufacture quality components to our customers quality requirements, all machines are networked for offline programming via CAD/Cam Packages.

Engineering Services in North Wales

With 22 CNC machine tools offering 3, 4 and 9 axis with live tooling facilities our machine shop is well equipped to manufacture quality components to our customers quality requirements.

Mill /Turn Machines

2 x Doosan Machines with up to 9 axis and full auto bar feeds of
65mm & 76mm diameter or 200mm and 250mm chuck holding. Both machines are programed off line using DelCam and EdgeCam software.

Live Tooling & CNC Lathes

7 machines including Akebono, Daewoo, XYZ, Hitachi-Seiki and Romi, allowing up to 230mm chucking, 65mm bar capacity and 700mm between centres. Machines are programmed off-line using EdgeCam^® software.

CNC Vertical Milling

14 machines including Haas, Doosan and XYZ, with capacity up to 1500mm. 5-Axis and 4-Axis with Rotary Table facilities allow 5-sided milling. Machines are programmed off-line using EdgeCam^® and DelCam^® software.

Manual Turning

3 machines including Harrison, Colchester and Hardinge with capacity up to 2000mm between centres and 700mm swing. All machines are fitted with digital readouts.

Manual Milling

4 machines including Bridgeport and Ajax with table size up to 1400mm x 250mm, all fitted with digital readouts.

This feature, combined with our policy of employing fully time served tradespersons ensures that Crabb Engineering Company offers a cost-effective quality system to our customers.

This includes the manufacture of components from small to large, using many different materials, all to customers quality system and time requirements and supported with certificates of conformity when necessary.
